How AI lets me run Shhots AI alone, and why we started XYZ Lab
Rajat runs Shhots AI as a solo founder because AI does most of the weekly work, from revenue tracking to customer support. XYZ Lab sets up the same for other businesses.

I run Shhots AI on my own. AI does most of the weekly work, from revenue tracking to customer support, and I check the output instead of producing it.
This is how I got here, and why Mofid and I started XYZ Lab to set up the same for other businesses.
How did I start using AI?
I started using AI as early as 2023 and 2024. First for writing blogs, because SEO is where I have the most experience. Then for market research, refining my writing, brainstorming, and building PRDs for my product ideas.
At that stage AI was a faster assistant. I still did the work, one prompt at a time.
When did AI start doing the work for me?
The change came when I handed it whole jobs.
I used it to find opportunities in a ton of data. I gave it 50,000 keywords and asked it to find the ones relevant to my product, then plan the content. I gave it an ebook and a bunch of subreddits, asked it to hunt for one specific insight, and to propose a product that solves it.
AI did the reading. I made the decisions.
What did building an AI agent platform teach me?
When Metaschool was pivoting into Okara.ai, I started learning more about open-source AI models, voice AI, generative AI, and the privacy and security side of it. Later, as the company built an AI agent builder, I was exposed to thousands of use cases.
From there, the agentic narrative took over. I saw companies, teams and individuals use automation at a level where humans can be removed from the whole loop.
That loop is discovering what needs to be done, doing it, reporting it, learning from the outcome, updating the approach, and doing it better the next time.
What did I see after Okara?
After I left Okara, I spent two months exploring new opportunities to build in AI. I briefly joined my friend’s cybersecurity startup, Hunto AI, and took it to Antler Singapore. There I saw even more use cases: wilder, and newer.
All this while, one thing became evident. People who use AI to get things done are more efficient and make more money. They waste less of their resources and time, and they do better than their peers.
Having access to the right tools and resources is one thing. Being able to use them, build agents and automations, and then remove yourself from the repetitive loop is another.
What runs on AI at Shhots AI today?
Every part of running the business is now supported by AI. Most of these systems need me only once a day or once a week.
- Product: product analytics, product development and the mobile app.
- Revenue: revenue tracking and revenue recovery.
- Growth: SEO and GEO, content creation and posting, B2B outreach, and hunting for new opportunities.
- Customers: client handling and customer support.
It is because of AI that I can build and run Shhots AI as a solo founder, as someone who has a degree in computer science but never used to code. I have always been into product and growth.

What has Mofid built at Mockey with a small team?
In parallel, Mofid has been building Mockey AI with a very small team. They created more than 30,000 AI mockups within a year, a feat that mockup companies have traditionally taken 5 to 10 years to achieve.
Over the same stretch, they scaled the business with SEO automation, kept shipping product updates, launched an iOS app, and more. Part of how that works is written up in How Mockey moved 328 posts off WordPress and handed the work to Claude.
Why did we start XYZ Lab?
Mofid and I have built together before. Hapramp raised a $1M seed round and ran from 2019 to 2021. Blinkstore powered 100K+ merch stores in 2022 and 2023.
And there were a bunch of side projects, like Letterflix.
While discussing how much we each use AI in our own businesses, we came up with the idea of XYZ Lab. There are millions of tremendously hard-working business owners out there who can benefit from AI, and we can help them do better.
They can save time, and have more of it for their health and families. They can cut what they spend on tech, improve margins, and reach, serve and support more clients.
We only have limited time to give to others, so we are starting with no more than three clients. We are still setting up XYZ Lab and working out everything we can do for them.
What would this look like in your business?
Start with the work you do every week. Most of it follows steps you could write down, and that is the work AI can take over first, across your product, growth and operations.
We find it with you in a two-week Diagnostic, build the systems, then stay on to run them. To see where that starts in your business, book 30 minutes with both of us in the calendar below.
